In the traditional sales world, the process that a salesperson would use to sell their product or service would be to make cold calls or go door-to-door, informing people about what they are selling and hoping to generate leads that would end in a sale. The difference with attraction marketing, which more and more is used in the place of this traditional sales process, is that a marketer finds out what attracts clients and uses this information to make them come to you. This is far more beneficial and a more pleasant shopping experience for everyone involved. There is no pressure for the buyer. Instead they are buying things that they want to. The key to making this all work is to figure out in the first place what it is that the client will be attracted to.
To do this, there are a few steps that can be taken. The first step of attraction marketing, as stated above, is to define what you are selling by first figuring out what the ideal buyer in your situation will be drawn to. This can be done a variety of ways, starting with market research, or a keyword analysis to see what the consumers out there on the internet have in their minds and are actively searching for.
Another important thing to remember when engaging in attraction marketing is that consumers today expect to be courted in untraditional ways. Keep the marketing lively, and unexpected. Write fresh copy and offer bonuses that will draw them to the product. Guerilla marketing and surprises keep consumers interested, and will help drive traffic to whatever products or services you are selling. This is a great way to distinguish yourself from the competition. The key point to remember is that you want the consumers to be able to find you, through a combination of market research and interesting sales offers.
Once you have them, it’s important to keep customers through the same methods of attraction marketing. There is no reason to let your website stagnate, but instead keep up to date on the latest technological trends. Shifts in pop culture can mean that consumers are shopping for different items than they usually do, and the most successful marketers will keep in touch with all of these trends, both technological and media-related. Through this innovative method of marketing, sales become fun for all parties involved, and keep the market fresh and lively.
